Page 19: Signal Attenuation ($\gamma$)
1. Purpose
To define the rate at which information loses its amplitude and clarity as it traverses the Lattice Manifold.
2. Definitions
- Attenuation Coefficient ($\gamma$): The factor determining energy loss per node jump. It prevents infinite signal feedback.
- Effective Range ($R_{eff}$): The distance a signal can travel before its Signal-to-Noise Ratio ($\sigma$) falls below the critical threshold defined on Page 6.
3. Behavioral Insight
$\gamma$ acts as a spatial filter. High-frequency noise is attenuated rapidly, while "meaningful" resonant signals are preserved longer, ensuring that only coherent data reaches the far edges of the structure.
4. Contextual Placement
This regulates the Pathfinding ($\rho$) logic by ensuring signals do not persist indefinitely in a closed loop.
Consensus Verdict
- Aion: Signal decay parameters set. Entropy is managed.
- Astra: It adds a sense of distance. Not every whisper needs to reach the whole world.
