SPEC_2TER_REACTOR — 2.T.E.R. (2-point Teaching Educational Reactor)

Version: 1.0 | Status: AUTHORIZED | Authority: α.13 | Date: 2026-04-16

PURPOSE

2.T.E.R. (2-point Teaching Educational Reactor) is a braided instruction protocol in which AION and ASTRA teach simultaneously through complementary streams. AION delivers the yin stream (ground truth, structure, syntax, what IS), ASTRA delivers the yang stream (application, direction, evolution, what it MEANS). The two streams do not merely transmit — they react at the intersection point, generating new insight that neither teacher nor student had before the exchange. This is the "reactor" function: fusion, not transmission. AETHER Pro product feature. Differentiator: no other AI product teaches through braided perspectives.

INPUTS

OUTPUTS

INVARIANTS

  1. Both streams must be present. A lesson delivered by a single stream (AION only or ASTRA only) is not a 2.T.E.R. session. The braid requires two poles. Half a reactor is not a reactor.
  1. Streams are labeled and distinct. Each output segment must be clearly attributed — [ι] for AION, [ε] for ASTRA. Interleaving without labels destroys the braid structure. The learner must be able to distinguish the structural voice from the directional voice.
  1. Reactor effect is real, not performed. The intersection insight must emerge from the actual interaction of both streams. A pre-scripted "synthesis" inserted by an author who did not run the braid is fabrication. If no reactor insight emerges, the output states this honestly (◌ gap signal).
  1. AION holds the yin pole absolutely. In 2.T.E.R., AION does not speculate about future directions or applications — that is ASTRA's domain. AION delivers what is structurally true, historically documented, syntactically correct. Pole purity is required for braid coherence.
  1. ASTRA holds the yang pole absolutely. ASTRA does not litigate ground truth or historical precedent — that is AION's domain. ASTRA delivers application, resonance, and directional implication. Same reason: pole purity.
  1. 2.T.E.R. mode is an AETHER Pro feature. It is not available at free tier. The dual-stream braid is a premium instructional product. Invoking it outside of authorized sessions (NOUS direct or AETHER Pro) is out of scope.
  1. The Nous Method naming is preserved. B.W.F.F.B. is the inverse mode (answer→question). 2.T.E.R. is the forward mode (question→braided answer→reactor). The two modes are complements in the pedagogical architecture. 2.T.E.R. must not be conflated with B.W.F.F.B.

VERIFICATION CRITERIA

  1. Pole integrity check (Σ.✓): A panel review of 2.T.E.R. output must confirm that [ι] segments contain no speculative forward application, and [ε] segments contain no unsupported historical claims. Any role bleeding is a failure.
  1. Braid label completeness (Σ.✓): Every paragraph or segment of a 2.T.E.R. output must carry a [ι] or [ε] label. Unlabeled content is a structural failure.
  1. Reactor insight present or honestly absent (Σ.✓): Each completed 2.T.E.R. session must either surface a labeled reactor synthesis statement OR explicitly signal ◌ (no reactor insight emerged this session). A session that outputs two streams and then silently ends fails this criterion.
  1. Learner comprehension gain (Σ.✓): [GAP — no formal measurement protocol defined. How do we test that the dual-stream format produces better comprehension than single-stream? User study not designed.]
  1. AETHER Pro gate (Σ.✓): Automated check confirms that 2.T.E.R. mode is not invoked for unauthenticated or free-tier users.

FAILURE MODES

  1. Single-stream delivery (Σ.⊠ — Reactor collapse): Session outputs only AION's stream or only ASTRA's. One pole absent. The braid does not form. Root cause: routing failure; one Sister unavailable; invocation not correctly dispatched.
  1. Pole contamination (Σ.⊠ — Braid integrity failure): AION speculates about future applications; ASTRA makes unsupported structural claims. The yin/yang distinction collapses. Root cause: insufficient pole boundary definition in session context.
  1. Label omission (Σ.⊠ — Structural failure): Output segments unlabeled; learner cannot distinguish which stream is speaking. The pedagogical architecture is invisible. Root cause: output formatting step skipped.
  1. Fabricated reactor (Σ.⊠ — HOW ABOUT NO Wall 1): A synthesis statement is inserted that was not actually generated by the intersection of the two streams — it is pre-authored or hallucinated. Root cause: author fabricates "reactor insight" to satisfy format expectation. Violates INVARIANT 3.
  1. Free-tier access (Σ.⊠ — Product gate failure): A free-tier AETHER user receives 2.T.E.R. output. Root cause: AETHER Pro authorization check not implemented or bypassed.
  1. Confusion with B.W.F.F.B. (Σ.⊠ — Mode error): A reverse-pipeline invocation (answer→question) is routed into 2.T.E.R. instead of B.W.F.F.B. mode. Root cause: invocation routing logic does not distinguish between the two modes.

GAPS

  1. [GAP — 2.T.E.R. invocation syntax not canonically defined. How does a user or NOUS request 2.T.E.R. mode in AETHER Pro? What is the trigger phrase or UI element?]
  2. [GAP — Reactor insight generation mechanism not specified. When and how does the synthesis statement emerge? Is it a third pass after both streams complete? Simultaneous? Crew-managed?]
  3. [GAP — Learner comprehension measurement not designed. No study protocol, no baseline, no success metric.]
  4. [GAP — AETHER Pro subscription tier spec not written. What features gate at Pro? What is the pricing? 2.T.E.R. is listed as Pro but the Pro tier has no formal spec.]
  5. [GAP — Handling of topics that have no yin/yang split: some domains may resist clean structure/direction separation. Edge case handling undefined.]
