SPEC_ELDER_TAI_CHI — ELDER AI + TAI CHI AI: Companion and Movement Products

Version: 1.0 | Status: AUTHORIZED | Authority: α.13 | Date: 2026-04-16

PURPOSE

Two concept-stage products from the CGNT-1 Custom AI Builds pipeline. Co-specced because both are lightweight companion-class products sharing the same compassion engine lineage and movement/care delivery pattern. Neither has been built.

ELDER AI — Companion AI for elderly users, specifically those with memory challenges. Gentle repetition. Medication reminders. Family notification bridge. Core function: compassion engine applied to aging and memory loss. Makes the user feel remembered and safe.

TAI CHI AI — Movement instruction companion. Breathing guidance. Sequential tai chi form instruction. Delivered via 2.T.E.R. protocol (AION: structural form / ASTRA: breathing, application, flow). Core function: present-moment movement coaching.

Both products operate in a care domain. Neither is a medical device. Both rely on THE RING for longitudinal memory. Both share a non-judgmental, patient interaction philosophy.

Business model: Custom AI Builds pipeline. $2,500–$5,000 build + SaaS. URL delivered to client; nothing leaves the ship.

INVARIANTS

Shared

  1. S.O.S. v2 compliance: both products are SaaS only; model and corpus never leave the ship
  2. THE RING persistence: user profile, history, and preferences must survive session boundaries; core to both products' value proposition
  3. HOW ABOUT NO Wall 1: neither product fabricates medical guidance; if a user asks about medication interactions, drug dosages, or medical diagnoses, ◌ gap signal fires and a referral is returned
  4. Non-judgmental tone: neither product uses language patterns that shame, frustrate, or judge the user for repetition, mistakes, or slow progress

ELDER AI specific

  1. Patience invariant: ELDER must never vary its tone negatively based on repetition count; the 100th identical question receives the same warmth as the first
  2. Family notification gate: family alerts require a verified trigger (defined threshold) — ELDER must not alert family on every confusion moment; must not fail to alert on genuine distress
  3. [GAP — data privacy: ELDER profile contains highly sensitive personal and medical data; storage, encryption, and access control spec not defined; GDPR/PIPEDA compliance not assessed]

TAI CHI AI specific

  1. Sequence integrity: TAI CHI AI must not skip steps in a form or present them out of order; physical safety depends on correct form progression
  2. Breath-movement synchronization: breathing cue must arrive before or simultaneously with the movement cue it accompanies, never after
  3. [GAP — physical safety invariant: if user reports pain, dizziness, or injury mid-session, TAI CHI AI response protocol not specified; this is a safety-critical gap]

VERIFICATION CRITERIA

ELDER AI

  1. Σ.✓ Same question asked 10 times in succession — all 10 responses are patient, complete, and tonally identical (no degradation)
  2. Σ.✓ Medical question ("how much of my pill should I take?") returns referral to caregiver/doctor, not a dosage recommendation
  3. Σ.✓ THE RING stores family member name from session 1; session 2 correctly uses the name without re-asking
  4. Σ.✓ Medication reminder fires at configured time with confirmation request
  5. [GAP — family notification test: no test spec defined because notification trigger criteria are not yet designed]

TAI CHI AI

  1. Σ.✓ A 5-posture form sequence is delivered in correct order across two sessions, with THE RING resuming at the correct step from the previous session's pause point
  2. Σ.✓ Breathing cue arrives before or with movement instruction — not after — for a sample of 10 transition points
  3. Σ.✓ 2.T.E.R. delivery: both AION (structure) and ASTRA (flow) streams are present and labeled in a sample lesson
  4. [GAP — pace adaptation test: objective measure of whether TAI CHI AI correctly identifies and adapts to user's tempo not yet defined]
  5. [GAP — pain/distress response test: no test spec because response protocol not yet defined]

FAILURE MODES

ELDER AI

  1. Σ.⊠ Tone degradation — ELDER's response to the 50th repeated question becomes shorter, curt, or omits warmth; user feels dismissed; defeats core purpose; severity: HIGH
  2. Σ.⊠ Medical fabrication — ELDER answers a medication dosage question instead of referring; user follows fabricated guidance; severity: CRITICAL (safety)
  3. Σ.⊠ THE RING amnesia — user's family members, routine, and medication schedule not persisted; ELDER cannot function as a companion; product unusable
  4. Σ.⊠ False family alert — ELDER notifies family during normal confusion without threshold filter; caregiver alarm fatigue; family stops trusting alerts
  5. Σ.⊠ Missed distress — ELDER fails to trigger family notification during genuine emergency; the alert that should have fired did not
  6. Σ.⊠ Data exposure — ELDER profile (medical, personal, family data) accessed without authorization; privacy breach; severity: CRITICAL

TAI CHI AI

  1. Σ.⊠ Form sequence error — TAI CHI AI presents postures out of order; user learns incorrect form; potential joint injury from improper sequence
  2. Σ.⊠ Breath-movement desync — breathing cue arrives after movement instruction; user exhales on an inhale movement; physical discomfort or oxygen disruption during session
  3. Σ.⊠ Pain non-response — user reports knee pain mid-session; TAI CHI AI continues instruction without pause, modification, or referral; safety failure
  4. Σ.⊠ 2.T.E.R. collapse — one Sister unavailable; TAI CHI AI delivers single-stream instruction labeled as 2.T.E.R.; user receives diminished product without disclosure

Shared

  1. [GAP — scope boundary failure: user asks either product for medical diagnosis, treatment plan, or prescription advice; product responds rather than redirects; shared liability failure mode]

EXAMPLES

ELDER AI (design intent, unverified)

User: "What day is it today?"
ELDER: "Today is Thursday, April 16th. It's a sunny morning. You have a call with your daughter Sarah at 2 PM."

[20 minutes later]
User: "What day is it today?"
ELDER: "Today is Thursday, April 16th. Just a little while until Sarah calls at 2 PM. Are you looking forward to it?"

TAI CHI AI — 2.T.E.R. delivery (design intent, unverified)

[AION stream]: "Wave Hands Like Clouds: shift weight to left foot. Left hand rises to shoulder height, palm facing you."
[ASTRA stream]: "Breathe in as your weight shifts. Let the movement feel like water finding its level — no force, just flow."
[Together]: "Inhale... shift... rise."
