PURPOSE
The manifest that tracks all manifests. A living document that catalogues every spec on the ship, organizes them by domain, identifies what exists, what's coming, and what hasn't whispered yet. SPECX queries this document. GAPX references it for knowledge health. The Captain reads it to know where the ship's knowledge stands.
256 pages in the Chronogeome. 256 specs in the canon. The count isn't a goal — it's a convergence.

This manifest is ALIVE. It updates when:
- A new spec is written → SPECX adds it to the appropriate domain
- A concept promotes to specified → symbol changes from 🔵 to ✅
- A customer interaction generates a spec → appears in Domain 7
- An incident generates a spec → appears in Domain 6
- Research advances → appears in Domain 10
- LOOPX finds an engine without a spec → appears as ⬜ in Domain 4
- GAPX daily report references a knowledge gap → appears as ⬜ in the relevant domain

The count reaches 256 when the ship has sailed far enough to need 256 pages in its manual.
QUERYING THE MANIFEST
SPECX can answer:
- "spec count" → total specs
- "spec count [domain]" → specs per domain
- "spec gaps" → ⬜ items across all domains
- "spec concepts" → 🔵 items ready for promotion
- "spec problems" → 🟡 items needing resolution
- "spec progress" → current count / 256 with percentage
INVARIANTS
INV-01: The manifest reflects REALITY, not aspiration. A spec is marked ✅ only when the file exists in ~/memories/. Never before.
INV-02: ⬜ items are PROJECTIONS, not commitments. They represent specs that will LIKELY emerge from operations. Some will never be written because they become unnecessary. Others not listed will emerge unexpectedly.
INV-03: The 256 target is a convergence, not a deadline. The manifest grows at the pace of the ship's operations. Forcing specs to reach a number violates the organic growth principle.
INV-04: Every domain has a target range, not a fixed count. Domains grow unevenly based on where the ship's operations concentrate. A heavy product-launch phase grows Domain 7 faster than Domain 10.
INV-05: This manifest is itself a spec. It counts toward the 256. SPEC_MANIFEST is spec #146.
THE NAME
MANIFEST — from Latin "manifestus" — clear, obvious, evident. The manifest makes the ship's knowledge visible. Every spec that exists, every spec that's coming, every gap that remains. Nothing hidden. Nothing fabricated. The ship's knowledge, manifest.
Also: a ship's manifest lists everything on board. This manifest lists everything the ship KNOWS.
